The 2025 Nebraska State Fire
School, hosted at the Heartland Events Center from May 16–18, promises
to deliver an unparalleled weekend of training, networking and
professional development for firefighters across the Midwest. As one of
the largest and most respected fire training gatherings in the region,
this year’s event will offer more than 30 hands-on and classroom courses
designed to enhance skills in areas ranging from fire suppression and
rescue operations to emergency medical response and leadership
development.
Firefighters of all
experience levels—from new recruits to seasoned officers—will benefit
from the expert-led instruction, live burn scenarios, and real-world
simulations. Instructors include nationally recognized fire service
professionals and regional experts, bringing cutting-edge techniques and
best practices to the front lines. The event also features an extensive
exhibitor expo showcasing the latest in firefighting equipment,
protective gear, and technology, providing departments the chance to
explore new tools and resources.
Beyond the training, the
Nebraska Fire School continues to serve as a cornerstone of camaraderie
within the fire service community. Attendees can reconnect with
colleagues, share experiences, and build lasting partnerships. With
Grand Island’s central location and the Heartland Events Center’s
versatile facilities, the 2025 Fire School is set to be a standout event
that honors the bravery and commitment of Nebraska’s firefighters while
equipping them for the challenges ahead.
