Two
powerhouse names in American music are coming together for one
unforgettable night as ZZ Top and Dwight Yoakam take the stage at the
Heartland Events Center on Friday, March 27.
This
rare pairing unites one of rock’s most enduring bands with one of
country music’s most influential voices, promising a high-energy,
hit-filled concert Central Nebraska won’t soon forget. With more than 50
years of music history, ZZ Top remains one of rock’s most iconic
groups. Known for unmistakable guitar riffs, blues-driven swagger and
classics like “La Grange,” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Gimme All Your
Lovin’,” the band continues to deliver electrifying live performances
beloved by audiences of all ages.
Joining them is Grammy
Award-winning country legend Dwight Yoakam, whose signature Bakersfield
sound and chart-topping hits — including “Guitars, Cadillacs,” “Fast as
You,” and “A Thousand Miles From Nowhere” — have made him one of the
most respected and influential country artists of the last four decades.
Heartland
Events Center Executive Director Kyler Tarwater said the show is one of
the biggest bookings the venue has brought to Grand Island.
“This
is a massive night of music for our community,” Tarwater said. “ZZ Top
and Dwight Yoakam each sell out venues on their own — putting them
together on one stage is something special. Fans will get rock, country
and everything in between. It’s the kind of event that draws people from
all across Nebraska.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at
both the HEC Box Office as well as online via Ticketmaster.com. Strong
demand is expected. For event details and other upcoming shows, visit
